The saying goes that a dog is man’s best friend, but in our experience, a dog is more like a mischievous younger sibling that gets sticky fingerprints on all your belongings and messes up your newly tidied bedroom but is far too cute to be upset with.

Dogs are family. They are protective, loyal, and unconditionally loving. Unfortunately, too many dogs are without families, and each year millions of lost or abandoned dogs enter shelters.

As a major publisher of books about nature, animals, and pets, dog rescue is a cause close to Firefly’s heart. With every copy of Rover: Wagmore Edition sold, we make a donation to dog rescue. (It’s our book of the month for August, and you could win a copy. Enter here.)

As a way to contribute, Grant began creating limited-edition books of dog portraits.

“We are truly blessed to have animals here with us. They enrich our lives in so many ways. They make us laugh. They provide us with companionship… But most of all, they show us what it means to love unconditionally.” — Andrew Grant
