Strange and unusual new products that might be great to have -- and how to get your hands on them. Our lives are just a bit too crazy these days. It's multitasking all around. We try to find ways to escape and ease the stress -- if only for a little while. Enter Crazy Stuff -- 400-plus pages of wonderfully offbeat things perfectly suited to hectic schedules and wandering minds. Some of the stuff is plainly practical and bargain-priced, while some is outrageous and extravagant. The items range from low-tech goofiness (the "that's ridiculous" and "that's hilarious" thingamajigs) to high-tech contraptions that make life easier (the "why didn't I think of that?" and "I want one of those" treasures). All of them leave us admiring the quirky and sometimes questionable minds that dreamed them up in the first place. Crazy Stuff is a great tongue-in-cheek-serious, buy-for-myself treat. It's also a fun gift item. And it's sure to be a popular impulse buy for the holidays. All the items in the book are real. Each is presented with a color photograph and complete description. Suggested list prices and manufacturer's websites or other purchase information are all included:
For pure fun and pure fantasy, Crazy Stuff delivers. |

Introduction
They should invent something that... Just imagine if there was... If only... Forget all that hypothetical thinking. It's already been invented and produced, and it's available at your local neighborhood supplier of dreams and other silly gadgets. Don't believe it? Look on page 24. Or 37. Or any other page in this book. There's now an air conditioner for the brain, a camera for your cat, a fake smile for your dog, and even a hotel on the moon for regular old human beings. And these things didn't escape from some bizarre novel. They really exist in our wonderful, zany world. Surprising, clever and sometimes totally absurd, the ideas and objects in Crazy Stuff, in their own unique way, tell the story of our lives in today's global village. They provide unusual answers to questions we hadn't even thought of, taking us along unexplored paths and leading us to places far off the beaten track. It's in these isolated regions of our world and in our minds, these chinks in our universe, that humanity reinvents itself. Some of the things presented here will no doubt be quickly forgotten. But others may very well become part of our everyday lives in a future that's just around the corner.
Life is a strange and magnificent journey. This book is dedicated to those who enjoy being surprised by it.
